On Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 dancers all over world participated in the Guiness World Record
attempt for the most people pole dancing at the same time. The participants performed a
choreographed routine by Katie Coates, from Vertical Dance in the U.K. The routine was performed
to the same music around the world for 10 minutes at 10:00am CST. The goal was to break last
year's record, raise money for charity, and raise awareness of the benefits of pole dancing. This
year our goal was to raise $20,000 for children's charities around the world. Donations in the U.S.
were made to the March Of Dimes. Mary Ellyn Weissman, from Empowerment Through Exotic
Dance, organized the event for the Chicagoland area. There were 20 women and one gentleman to
participate in the event which was held at the Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago. The event was a
success and we will know in a few months how many participants actually qualified for the world
record. Thanks for everyone that donated and participated for Pole Velocity Dance and Fitness.

Learn a fun and sexy routine using poles, chairs and boas to give your special someone the perfect gift. This is a
one hour class where you can learn basic dance moves, pole spins, and chair work. Learn sensual dance and lap
dance moves including floor work using props such as boas, poles, and chairs to make a sexy routine. Classes
are 1 hour for $35/person at the door or $25/person if you sign up online. After the lesson, learn more about sexy
products and toys from Passion Parties. The next Sexy and Fabulous Night will be held this fall. Reservations are
required by the day before class.

This is a class for anyone who has taken prior pole dance classes. It will touch on basics up to intermediate and
advanced moves. For those of you that would like to attend you can work at your own level. Everyone is welcome to
attend.
Class Structure
Warm-up and stretch including ways to gain flexibility and strength derived from professional training in the
gymnastics, dance, yoga, and circus. Pole play teaching basic and intermediate to advanced pole tricks you may
not know. Focusing on strength, endurance, and transitions. Cool down and conditioning

Jenyne Butterfly is a remarkable pole dancer from Las Vegas. She was the U.S. Pole Dance Champion in 2009
and was 2nd in the 2009 World Pole Championship. She has performed and toured worldwide. She has trained
in Cirque De Soleil and performed for many of the big productions as well as modeling.
